The Philanthropy Collection, located in the College of DuPage Library, is a collection of books, magazines and databases to support research on philanthropic and fundraising topics. It was established in 2000 and is a partnership between the College of DuPage Library and the Donors Forum to meet the information needs of nonprofit organizations located in the western suburbs of Chicago.
The Philanthropy Collection is also a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center. As a member of this nationwide network of libraries, community foundations, and other nonprofit agencies, we provide visitors with free public access to grantmaker directories, books on fundraising and nonprofit management, and the Foundation Center’s electronic databases, Foundation Directory Online Professional, Foundation Grants to Individuals Online, and Philanthropy In/Sight. These fully searchable databases include detailed profiles of all active U.S. foundations, an extensive file of recent grants awarded by the nation's top funders, and interactive mapping tools.
The Collection is available to all visitors whenever the Library is open. Users that have COD Library cards can also check out materials.
