Wealth Engine update

Wealth Engine logo_fixed.pngWealth Engine access had been discontinued as of June 3rd. We apologize for the short notice. At this time, the Library does not have an alternative database for doing individual prospect research. However, Forefront (formerly Donors Forum) offers on-site access to both NOZA and Research Point in their library. For more information about what NOZA is, please see Forefront's tutorial at

Out of Print: Film Screening and Discussion

Out of Print PosterJoin us on Thursday, April 16, from 12 - 1:30 pm, for a National Library Week event where the Library will screen the documentary Out Of Print.

Narrated by Meryl Streep, Out of Print draws us into the topsy-turvy world of the written word, illuminating the turbulent, exciting journey from the written book through the digital revolution. Jeff Bezos, Ray Bradbury, Scott Turow, Jeffrey Toobin, parents, students, educators, scientists - all highlight how this revolution is changing everything about the printed word - and changing us. Discussion will follow.

The screening will take place in SRC 2032 on the main level of the Library.

Foundation Maps

NEW! Foundation Mapsfm_3.png

We are pleased to now offer a new online tool in our core collection. Foundation Maps is Foundation Center’s new interactive mapping tool that brings philanthropy data to life so you can see who is funding what and where. Some of the most exciting features include:

• Map View displays with colored bubbles for foundations and recipients.
• Charts show funding trends and allow comparisons of funding by subject areas over time.
• Funding pathways visually reveals networked relationships between funders and recipients. Start with a recipient or foundation and view multiple layers of funding.
• U.S. Demographic overlays add a rich dimension to the maps, demonstrating the need for funding in a region or subject area.

Next time you are in the Library, search your nonprofit and find out its “family tree” of funding.

New in the CCIC area: Games!

  • The Networking Game
  • You're Hired!
  • Interview Challenge
  • Ethics on the Job

and many more.

All can be checked out and are great for groups and classroom activities.
